Vaterra Camaro RS, Camaro ZL1 and Nissan GTR

Vaterra 2012 Chevy Camaro ZL1As we posted earlier, Horizon Hobby has announced a new brand of R/C cars and trucks dubbed Vaterra which is expected to release a number of new R/C vehicles including the one you see here, the V100-S 4wd touring car chassis. Upon initial release the V100S will be available with three officially licensed body styles including a 2012 Chevy Camaro ZL1, 1969 Chevy Camaro RS and 2012 Nissan GTR. Each car will include a Spektrum 2.4Ghz radio system, Dynamite Tazer ESC and brushed motor, NiMh battery pack and charger.

Vaterra 2012 Chevy Camaro ZL1
The DNA of the 2012 Camaro ZL1 is undeniable. Its muscular looks and 580 horsepower, supercharged V8 are clearly inspired by the 1969 original. And, like its street brawling forbear, it will put the smack down on many of its peers. What sets the modern ZL1 apart are the smart new ways it applies brute force. Magnetic Ride Control makes up to 1000 adjustments per second. Special pickups keep fuel flow steady during high-g turns. Theres even an option for Formula 1-style paddle shifters. Its a whole new breed of Camaro, one thats as big a threat on circuits like Nürburgring as it is at the stoplight.

Vaterra 1969 Chevy Camaro RS
Armstrong walked on the moon, baby boomers rocked Woodstock and Route 66, America’s Mother Road, resonated with the rumble of the Chevy Camaro. Designed to dethrone the Mustang, the 1969 Camaro RS could pack up to 396 cubic inches of power under its hood. Its aggressive, low-profile stance gave the impression of a panther ready to pounce. Even today, a ’69 Camaro RS will turn heads at car shows, cruise nights and anywhere else a love for big-displacement, Detroit power endures.

Vaterra 2012 Nissan GTR
The Nissan GT-R was brought into this world for a single purpose-complete domination of the streets. Armed with a 545 hp, twin-turbocharged V-6, and some of the most sophisticated transmission technology on the planet, it makes short work of many other super cars in its class. Its dual-clutch, 6-speed transmission and traction control so perfectly apply the engine’s phenomenal power that any challenger who hesitates even a second on the gas pedal or in between gears will see nothing but its taillights.
