Traxxas Officially Unveils the New E-Revo 2.0!

Traxxas unveils the new E-Revo 2.0! This 2018 version of the E-Revo comes packed with tons of updates including a stronger low CG chassis, new larger Talon EXT tires wrapped around new 6 spoke black wheels, stronger upper and lower suspension arms, thicker 5mm steel turnbuckles, a thicker 5mm blue anodized motor plate, new heavy duty bulkheads, updated axle carriers, a self righting system and the Maxx-Spec driveline made up of beefy driveshafts, a new center drive, the Cush Drive system, and new 4 gear differentials. Wheels and Tires
New larger, meatier, all terrain Talon EXT tires provide superior off-road traction and performance. The aggressive tread pattern features a tougher rubber compound and thicker sidewalls to better handle punishing 6S wheel speeds. New 6 spoke black wheels are engineered for maximum strength along with a rugged menacing stance.

Suspension Arms
The E-Revo 2.0’s double wishbone design maintains proper suspension geometry throughout the entire range of travel. These high tech suspension arms were originally developed with finite element analysis to find smarter ways to resist breakage. Today they are even beefier with more material in almost every dimension and tougher new composites that further resist impact damage, even in cold weather.

The E-Revo 2018 Edition utilizes thicker 5mm steel links with larger rod ends and more thread engagement to make this the toughest E-Revo suspension ever.

Another hallmark of the E-Revo, the functional rear wing position is optimized to reduce drag while still providing valuable downforce for stability. A rigid cross braced support allows multiple wing adjustments and provides ample support in case of rollovers. The E-Revo wing also makes a great wheelie stop when exerting full 6S power!

Motor Plate
The Traxxas E-Revo 2.0 includes a stronger and thicker 5mm blue anodized aluminum motor mounting plate which uses larger hardware to keep the motor fixed in place during the hardest of bashing sessions.

The E-Revo 2018 Edition’s front and rear bulkheads were completely re-engineered to provide clearance for the massively larger ring and pinion gears. The new design is much more rigid, capturing the differential in an upper and lower bulkhead configuration that allows strengthened integration with the chassis and skidplates, as well as easier access for cleaning service.

Axle Carriers
Larger and stronger axle carriers accommodate bigger bearings and huge 8mm hardened steel stub axles. The pivot ball design allows extreme suspension movement and easy camber adjustments. The pivot ball caps have been refined to help prevent loosening. Silicone rubber seals protect against dirt for smooth, reliable operation.

Maxx-Spec Driveshafts
The new Traxxas E-Revo 2.0 features X-Maxx style hardened steel CVD driveshafts equipped with massive 8mm stub axles. The harded steel drive cups mount to larger 8mm hardened steel differential outputs. These driveshafts were originally engineered for ultimate strength in the Traxxas X-Maxx and are now right at home in the E-Revo. Now you can experience all the performance and fun 6S power has to offer without holding back.

Center Driveline
Continuing with the theme of ultimate 6S performance and fun, the Traxxas E-Revo’s center driveline was dramatically strengthened for 2018 with larger diameter shafts in front, increased spline engagement and beefed up yokes.

Cush Drive
The E-Revo 2.0 Cush Drive absorbs drivetrain shocks with custom shaped elastomer damper housed between the spur gear and the drive hub. Under extreme load (such as hard high traction acceleration) the elastomer flexes to dissipate shock without interrupting power flow. The result is instant acceleration with new wasted power.

The E-Revo’s new 4 gear differentials are similar to those used in the X-Maxx and feature larger 8mm output shafts, oversized bearings, and beefed up spider gears for reliable performance, stunt after stunt.

Hex Hubs
17mm splined aluminum hex hubs provide unsurpassed torque handling. The larger 8mm stub axles utilize a beefier 3mm pin retained by a separate grub screw.

Self Righting
E-Revo’s over-the-top power can sometimes land you upside down. Traxxas’ exclusive Self-Righting system keeps the fun going with minimal interruption. Simply press a button on the transmitter and, in most circumstances, E-Revo will be back on its wheels in just seconds.

Armed with a fortified drivetrain, E-Revo’s VXL-6s power system now pounds out more tire-scorching motivation than ever before, all the way to 70+ mph. Advanced design and sophisticated microprocessor control make this the most punchy and reliable high-voltage VXL power system ever.
