Team Associated TC4This is a picture of a Team Associated TC4 Team kit. The TC4 touring car was AE’s successor to the popular TC3. Over its lifetime there have been four variations of the TC4 produced including the TC4 Ready to Run, TC4 Team Kit, TC4 Factory Team Kit and the TC4 Club Racer. Currently, only the later is still in production. Check out the list below for the differences between these models.

TC4 Ready to Run – This was the bare bones entry level version which included a composite tub chassis, composite shocks, composite shock towers, composite CVDs, steel screws, steel turnbuckles, composite battery hold down, clamp style motor mount, ball diffs, composite outdrives, chrome wheels, treaded tires, pre-painted body, 17t brushed motor, LRP AI ESC and radio gear

TC4 Team Kit – This was the TC4 for those hobbyists who wanted to build their own kit but didn’t need the best of the best. It included a composite tub chassis, threaded aluminum shocks, composite shock towers, aluminum MIP CVDs, steel screws, steel turnbuckles, composite battery hold down, clamp style motor mount, ball diffs, composite outdrives, white dish wheels, treaded tires, no body, no electronics

TC4 Factory Team Kit – This was the full race version of the TC4 which included a 2.5mm carbon fiber upper/lower chassis, threaded aluminum shocks, carbon fiber shock towers, aluminum MIP CVDs, blue aluminum screws, titanium turnbuckles, no battery hold down (tape), conventional motor mount, ball diffs, composite and steel outdrives, white dish wheels, slick tires, no body, no electronics

TC4 Club Racer Kit – This TC4 was aimed at those who wanted to compete at local events, particularly in the VTA class. It included a composite tub chassis, composite shocks, composite shock towers, composite CVDs, steel screws, steel turnbuckles, composite battery hold down, clamp style motor mount, front spool, rear ball diff, composite outdrives, no wheels/tires, no body, no electronics
