Tamiya recently revealed an updated version of their popular TA05 VDF drift chassis. The TA05 VDFII features a new chassis layout with the dual upper frames replaced by one single frame rail to allow greater roll flexibility. The carbon fiber lower chassis plate has also been redesigned to aid in chassis flex. Tamiya also chose to revamp the VDFII’s Triple belt drive system with a new aluminum motor bulkhead with a lower spur gear poisition for a better center of gravity. Just like its predecessor, the new VDF II chassis also comes with high-spec parts such as TRF dampers, short reversible suspension arms, front ball differential, and rear direct coupling.
