Tamiya LandFreeder RC Truck

Tamiya LandFreederWith a name that is obviously a bad translation from Japanese to English, Tamiya announces the new LandFreeder off-road RC truck. Based on the CC01 chassis, the Tamiya LandFreeder features a body inspired by pickup trucks of the 1980s. Unlike most of Tamiya’s previous CC01 chassis offerings which had hard ABS plastic bodies, the LandFreeder includes a polycarbonate body with metal plated front grill insert and roll bar. The LandFreeder also features a set of metal plated wheels which look strikingly similar to those found on the vintage Tamiya Chevy S-10 pickup. The Tamiya CC01 scale chassis features an independent front suspension mated with a solid rear axle and four link suspension. The result is a truly scale driving RC truck. The Tamiya LandFreeder is expected to be released this August.

It looks just like the pickup my dad owned when I was a kid. I agree about the name though, you’d think they would run it by a good translater first.

I like it! A better set of wheels and this would make a great starting point for a scale project!

Looks like they ripped off the early 90s Ford Ranger.

That black front bumper has got to go! Otherwise its a decent looking truck.

LMFAO at that name! Cool looking truck though.
