You’ve just taken your new HPI Savage Octane out of the box, you’ve gotten the electronics set up and you’re ready to go. Lets get that engine started! First turn on your radio and the electronics in your truck. Then prime the carburetor by pressing the primer bulb a few times until you see fuel going through the yellow fuel return line. If the engine is cold, turn the choke lever to the horizontal position to close the choke. Now pull the pull starter a few times until it sounds like the engine is about to start. Then turn the choke lever back to the open position and pull the starter cord again. The Octane should start. When the engine is already warm you can skip the carb priming and choke steps. Be sure to break in your Octane’s engine before you run it at full speed.
