It looks like the guys over at Tamiya have a new chassis in the works. The new Tamiya XV-01 features a front mounted motor design which sends power to all four wheels through an enclosed belt drive system. XV stands for Crossover Vehicle which gives you a good idea of its intended purpose. The XV-01 will serve as a common all-terrain platform which can be used for rally cars, on-road cars and even pickup trucks. We believe the first vehicle Tamiya will release utilizing this chassis is a 2008 Subaru WRX rally car with a hopped up Pro-Spec version following soon after.
