After a little teasing back in February, Hot Bodies officially unveils the new HB D815 Tessmann Worlds Edition! The HB D815 is the perfect evolution of the existing car, featuring many all-new parts that turn the D812 from a worthy challenger into a definite winner in the right hands. A series of refinements like an improved center drivetrain, aluminum servo saver arm and sintered brake pads takes the D815 up a few extra notches to improve its reliability and durability on the track, while the car keeps the parts that have helped make it into arguably the toughest racing buggy in the world. Fast work in the pits is a requirement for modern racers, and the D815 makes quick maintenance part of its wide repertoire, with a new one-piece radio tray and new split center bulkhead.
The Hot Bodies D815 is not just your standard racing buggy – it’s packed full of details that can only be seen under close inspection. Its racing heritage is evident by looking over its lightweight parts, including the diff outdrives, center inputs, spur gear, diff gears, aluminum front axles, chassis braces, shock towers, wing mount, rear wing and woven carbon fiber steering arms and rear camber link points. Signature features such as the stand-up servo mounting, monocoque suspension arms, machined aluminum outer suspension pieces and woven carbon fiber steering arms and rear camber mounts have been retained not simply because they are unique features, but because they help the D815 race hard in the toughest main events without worrying if it can finish.
Designed to Win
The D815 Tessmann Worlds Edition is as close to a World Championship-winning car as you can get. A host of extra-tough parts feature throughout the HB D815 to help it maintain its legendary reliability record, such as extra-tough, lightweight diff gears in a new 43/13 ratio, rubber CVD boots, new CVD boots over the center CVDs, thick steel turnbuckles, machined engine mount and 3mm 7075 chassis with a steel rear skid plate. 16mm big bore threaded coilover shock absorbers and stiff monocoque suspension arms stand out among the suspension parts, however the suspension also features front and rear sway bars, hinge pin inserts for easy toe and anti-squat settings, fine adjustment of the rear camber link locations plus brand new machined aluminum caster blocks, steering blocks and new rear uprights. The steering system features a new alloy servo saver arm, aluminum drag link, steel turnbuckles and woven carbon fiber steering arms on the steering blocks. Alternate arm mounts, steering blocks, caster blocks, steering arms, rear hub carrier arms and sway bars are all available to tune the D815 to any track or driving style.
Finishing the long list of standard equipment on the HB D815 are orange aluminum color accents throughout the car. The HB D815 is the finest-built and most-equipped off-road racer available, carrying its World Championship heritage to race tracks and pit areas around the world.
New Diff Gears and Cases
The D815’s all-new diff gears are precision-machined from hardened aluminum and feature a new gear ratio that is suited for modern race tracks. The diff gear set features a one-piece input gear that improves the durability of the drivetrain dramatically by reducing parts to the bare minimum.

The D815 features brand new front and rear suspension parts, including front caster blocks and rear uprights with carbon fiber arms plus an aluminum servo saver arm that drastically improves the strength of the steering system – perfect for long, hard-fought races on tight race tracks.
