Team Associated B4/T4 Lipo Combo

Team Associated T4.1 Lipo ComboThis afternoon Team Associated announced yet another way you can purchase their high popular B4.1 off-road buggy and T4.1 stadium truck. You may remember back in August we posted about Team Associated’s new B4/T4 NiMh combo packs. Much like those packages, this new combo features the ready to run brushless powered versions of these two vehicles except with one change, the NiMh battery pack and wall charger have been replaced with a more modern 3000mah Reedy Wolfpack lipo battery pack and Reedy 526-S Lipo charger/balancer. Both still include a 2.4Ghz 3-channel radio system, Reedy 3300kV brushless motor and XP SC450-BL electronic speed control. Read more…

Tamiya Wild Willy Unimog and Mazda 787B

Tamiya Mazda 787B Le Mans #18Tamiya recently announced their plans to unveil two new R/C models at the JRM Hobby Show being held in Japan later this month. The new models include a new version of the Wild Willy off-road truck platform featuring a Mercedes Benz Unimog 406 body. Apparently the Wild Willy Unimog will be available with pre-painted bodies available in four color choices; red (pictured below), blue, green and yellow. The second new vehicle from Tamiya is the Mazda Le Mans 787B No. 18 race car. The 787B, which took a 6th place finish at the 1991 24 Hours of Le Mans race, will be introduced on the RM-01 chassis. Tamiya Asterion Racing Truck XV-01T

Tamiya Asterion XV-01TFresh out of the Tamiya factory is new Tamiya Asterion Racing Truck. While at first glance, the Asterion may appear to be nothing more than Tamiya’s old TA02 based Ford F-150 re-badged with a new decal sheet, it is actually based on the new belt driven XV-01 off-road rally chassis. From what we understand, Tamiya chose to fit the Asterion with longer oil filled shocks and a new front bumper to make it even more off-road friendly. A lexan truck body and a set of chrome wheels with block pattern truck tires (which both look eerily similar to the F-150 of old) round out the package. X Factory X-60CF Carbon Fiber Stadium TruckX Factory just released a sneak peek photo of their soon to be released carbon fiber chassis conversion kit for the Team Associated T4/T4.1 stadium truck. For several years the X Factory X–60, with it’s molded plastic chassis, has been very successful on tracks all over the world. Now X Factory has upgraded the kit with a much lighter carbon fiber construction which features a more central weight distribution. According to X Factory the new design weighs a mere 1870 grams at full race trim.
