Team Serpent 411 Sport Touring Car

Team Serpent 411 SportTeam Serpent just unveiled the sport edition of their competition level 411 1/10 scale touring car. To reduce costs for the club racer Serpent replaced many of the carbon fiber parts found on the original 411 and 411 Team Edition cars with parts made of a durable black “glass fiber” material. The result is a car that handles and performs like it’s more expensive brother but with a smaller price tag. What makes this so great is that you can upgrade the car to a full 411 Team Edition as time and money permits.

Kyosho Inferno GT2 Race Spec Aston Martin DB9

Kyosho’s popular Inferno GT2 gets a racing spec upgrade! The Inferno GT2 Race Spec features a new high power KE25 engine which delivers more torque and a higher top speed than the power plant found in the previous GT2. The previously optional shoe-type 2 speed transmission now comes as standard equipment for smoother gear changes and minimized shift shock. Preview: Team Durango 2WD Stadium Truck and Short Course Truck

While we haven’t heard anything official about these yet, the folks over at Tower Hobbies just posted a few pictures of two new trucks about to be released by Team Durango. The DEST201R Stadium Truck and DESC201R Short Course truck are apparently both based on Durango’s 2WD buggy platform and will be available for sale in mid July. Specs, pics and expected pricing after the jump!

Tamiya Lotus 120B F1 F104W

It’s been a busy few weeks for Tamiya with yet another new model coming down the pipeline. The newest one being the Tamiya Team Lotus 102B Formula One car. Tamiya had actually released this body on the earlier F101 platform but the new model utilizes Tamiya’s proven F104W chassis for maximum performance.

Tamiya TA05 VDFII Drift Chassis

Tamiya recently revealed an updated version of their popular TA05 VDF drift chassis. The TA05 VDFII features a new chassis layout with the dual upper frames replaced by one single frame rail to allow greater roll flexibility. The carbon fiber lower chassis plate has also been redesigned to aid in chassis flex. Tamiya also chose to revamp the VDFII’s Triple belt drive system with a new aluminum motor bulkhead with a lower spur gear poisition for a better center of gravity. Just like its predecessor, the new VDF II chassis also comes with high-spec parts such as TRF dampers, short reversible suspension arms, front ball differential, and rear direct coupling.

Tamiya Officially Announces Bullhead Re-release

Last month there was some speculation that the Tamiya Bullhead monster truck would be making a reappearance in the RC world and today Tamiya has officially announced its re-release! While the new Tamiya Bullhead remains mostly unchanged from the original it now includes a Tamiya TEU-106BK twin motor electronic speed control which replaces the original’s mechanical unit.
