Protoform RT-C Oval Pan Car Body

Protoform RT-C Oval Pan Car BodyThe Nascar Xfinity Series continues to provide full size stock car fans with close exciting racing in 2017. Protoform is proud to present an oval body inspired by the newest generation of these cars. The Protoform RT-C has a bit of a twist though, as it is configured to fit perfectly over the taller rubber and capped tires. Rubber tires on carpet oval cars have put driving skill and a new element of fun into the oval scene. The longer lasting rubber tire format saves time and money as well, eliminating the tire truing process. The Protoform RT-C offers a large rear spoiler to aid in tuning for that perfect front to rear balance, while the left side of the body is bumped out for extra battery clearance. The RT-C is produced in high-quality .025 polycarbonate and includes spoiler mounting hardware, protective film, window masks and a decal sheet. This body will also fit most popular 200mm sedan chassis. Read more…

Serpent Project 4x Vertical Top Deck Kit

Serpent Project 4x Vertical Top Deck KitSerpent announces the new Vertical Top Deck Kit for the Project 4x RC touring car. It consists of two equally shaped vertically oriented 2.5mm carbon fiber plates. The plates are connected to the front and rear suspension with a machined aluminum adapter plate. Unlike flat top decks, the vertical oriented double top deck still allows a lot of linear torsional flex, but basically eliminates any longitudinal tweaking and reduces torsional tweak drastically. It can be run in addition to the kit aluminum center stiffener. The H-shaped stiffener plate can be removed when the topdeck is used to create more flex in the front and rear section of the car. NIB Tamiya Porsche 959 For Sale

NIB Tamiya Porsche 959 For SaleIf there was ever the RC car equivalent of a needle in a haystack, it would have to be tracking down one of the original Tamiya Porsche 959 kits. Back in ’86 when this 1/12 scale car was released, it had pretty much every feature the RC car enthusiast could ask for including oil filled aluminum shocks, a full time 4wd drivetrain, the RX-540VZ Technigold motor and even a working set of headlights. Unfortunately, because the kit was fairly expensive, not many were made, and those 959s that did reach the hands of a hobbyist usually took a beating. So, not only are they hard to track down, they’re pretty much impossible to find new in the box. That’s why we were so shocked to find that a member of ebay actually had one for sale. The box looks to be in excellent shape, and all of the parts are still packed in their original blister packs. There is no doubt this one will result in one heck of a bidding war. Check it out below. HPI Savage X Bashing Pictures

HPI Savage X Bashing PicturesAfter being out of the RC car hobby for many years, my brother recently jumped back in head first and picked up a brand spanking new HPI Savage X 4.6 nitro monster truck! After the required break in, he headed out to give it a good bashing and I tagged along to take a few pictures. This is his first nitro RC truck so he is still learning the ropes but so far he is absolutely loving it. For future mods he plans to throw a set of Fast Lane Machine extended chassis plates on it, as well as a better set of wheels and tires. Then, as the engine is put through its paces, we may even bolt an LRP .32 on it at some point. Check out the pictures of his first bash session and stay tuned for more pictures to be posted right here. Read more…
