First Look: New Traxxas Grave Digger Body


The guys over at RCCA had the chance to check out a new body in the works by Traxxas. This special 30th Anniversary Traxxas Grave Digger prototype not only features red LED lights in the headlights of the body, but also a set of LEDs in eyes of the skulls on the sides of the body too.

JR Radios Unveils New Wide Voltage Brushless Servos

As an R/C enthusiast you probably know full well the frustrations of trying to use incompatible equipment, especially when it comes to servos designed to run a different voltage than your current setup outputs. Well JR Radios has solved this problem with their new Wide Voltage Servos. Each Wide Voltage series servo has an internal chip that senses incoming voltage which it then adjusts to. As long as your receiver is putting out between 4.8v and 8.4v the servo will adjust to it and work as intended. Other features of these new servos include 5900 steps per 120° of travel,  durable “Super Steel” gear train, and a new Slow Start function. Slow Start reduces gear and motor stress by slowly returning the servo back to center upon initial power.

O.S. 12TG VII Nitro Engine Unveiled

O.S. Engines recently revealed a new powerplant for you offroad nitro racers. The OS 12TG VII R/C engine features a two piece head with slide valve carb, a ROAR legal rear exhaust design and comes equipped with pilot style crankshaft. Overall output is 0.7 hp @ 28,000 rpm all while getting 14 minute run times per tank!

Avid Carbon Fiber Rear Hub Towers For AE Vehicles

Avid R/C recently announced the availability of their new carbon fiber rear hub towers for the Team Associated B4.1, B44.1, T4.1 or SC10 R/C offroad vehicles. They feature high and low outer pivot locations which allow racers run the standard kit upper link location “A” tower, or try dropping the outer pivot height 2mm with a ground rear u-brace like the “C” tower. Both adjustments on the same part! They’re made of a lightweight carbon fiber composite weighing just 1.6g per pair. They are perfectly suited to those the optional blue aluminum rear hubs and offer additional buggy wheel clearance over the stock plastic pieces. Each package includes 1 pair hub towers, 2 x 3/16” aluminum nuts, and 1 AVID mini decal sheet.

Team Associated RC8.2 Buggy Onboard Video

LiveRC and Ryan Maifield teamed up to get some unique footage at this year’s NEO race in England! This footage was captured by mounting a RePlay XD camera to Ryan’s Team Associated RC8.2 buggy during the “Dash for Cash” race. The result: footage from a pro driver’s car in an actual race from a perspective never before seen! The RePlayXD is small enough to be mounted externally to an R/C car without being as invasive and clunky as other cameras. We simply taped the camera mount to the passenger side window!
