From the guy who built that wicked cool Custom Traxxas Rustler we recently posted about comes another awesome build! Check out the Axial Wraith Custom 55 Chevy Gasser! Yes, that’s right, it’s an Axial Wraith rock crawler that was converted to a Chevy Gasser drag racing car! At the heart of this beast is that wicked body. It appears to be based on a polycarbonate Parma Chevy body shell that has been customized with highly detailed V8 engine with dual holly carbs, scale spark plug wire and fuel links, and even a scale radiator! The interior was stolen from an Axial Spawn with a Tamiya Wild Willy drivers head added in. Believe it or not, the body even has a hinged trunk lid that opens up to reveal a scale fuel cell and battery!
The Wraith 55 Chevy Gasser’s chassis is based on the Wraith’s tube frame. Features includes a custom hand made stainless steel front axle with leaf spring suspension, a Vanquish aluminum rear axle with aluminum lockouts, a set of scale shocks, a Hot Racing driveshaft and much more! The entire chassis rides on a set of brand new aluminum wheels wrapped with new Anaconda tires up front and new Pro-line Speed hawg tires out back. Yet another sweet build indeed!
