Many of the R/C forums lit up earlier this week when a new Traxxas truck was spotted being sold on Ebay. The R/C truck is question is the Traxxas Monster Energy Limited Edition Monster Truck you see to the left. At first many speculated that the vehicle was a prototype of a Monster Jam truck that Traxxas was soon going to release, while others thought it may be nothing more than a hoax. The good news is that Traxxas did indeed build this truck. It’s based on their Monster Jam line of RC trucks with an included TQ 2.4Ghz radio system and XL5 waterproof ESC. The bad news is that it was an extremely limited production run with as few as 100 being made exclusively for Monster Energy employees and distributors. That doesn’t mean you can’t get your hands on one if you really want an amazing collectible. There are a few Monster Energy employees who have chosen to put their Traxxas Monster Energy Trucks up for sale on ebay with price tags exceeding $350. It turns out this isn’t the first time Traxxas made a limited edition RC vehicle for Monster Energy. Last Spring they also produced a limited edition ’69 Camaro which was designed to replicate the full size Monster Energy Camaro built for Jonathan Davis, the lead singer of the rock band Korn. What do you think, should Traxxas make these for sale to the public?
