4WD Gold Pan RC10 Conversion

RC10 Gold Pan 4wd Conversion KitBelieve it or not MIP made this crazy chain driven 4wd conversion for the Team Associated RC10 Gold Pan back in the 80s. As you can see in the picture, it featured a chain drive that would run from a custom rear transmission case, over the battery pack, through a tensioner, and to a front “gearbox”. From there the power would be transferred through a sprocket and down to a set of driveshafts. It may look like a simple conversion but switching the RC10 to a 4wd layout took quite a bit of engineering. Can you imagine what one of these would be worth today?

Yes please someone tell me what one of these is worth today? I’ve got a 1987 RC10 MIP 4×4 Chain Drive with Machine Advance Engineering Mini-Mag Wheels in good working condition. I can’t find any kind of estimated value & I’ve been searching the web for 3 Days… Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks, T

    • I believe I saw one sell for around $700 but I’d suggest starting with a higher asking price and lower it until you get a bite. Or put it on ebay and let the buyers fight over it.
